MI Team Preview: Analysis

MI team preview
Mumbai Indians are the defending champions of IPL

Four time champions MI have been the dominant side over the years. Having a great combination on both batting and bowling department, they would definately be the force to be reckoned with.

Inspired by Skipper Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah on batting and bowling department respectively, the team has great set of All rounders. Pandya brothers viz. Hardik and Krunal are mainstays of the team during their recent success.

Kieron Pollard has been another iconic figure of the Mumbai team. The main things that binds this side is the team’s chemistry. They are one of the favorites to win IPL this season as well.

MI Team Preview: Bowling Preview:

Mumbai’s spin bowling department is the only things that concerns MI team this year. After trading Mayank Markande to Delhi, this team has only one leg spinner in the form of Rahul Chahar. Apart from him, left arm orthodox Ankul Roy and Off Spinner Jayant Yadav are the only spin back-ups for the Mumbai Team.

In such situation, they surely want Krunal Pandya to complete all of his overs of left-arm orthodox spin to fulfil the spin quota for the team. Apart from it, the pace bowling looks impeccable for the Mumbai team. Likes of Mitchell McClenaghan and Trent Boult are available for the Mumbai team. Dhawal Kulkarni and Mohsin Khan are available as Indian pace bowling backup for Jasprit Bumrah.

Boom Boom Bumrah would definitely perform for the Mumbai team. With the likes of James Pattingson added to the team, Bumrah would bowl more often in later overs.

MI Team Preview: Batting Preview:

Rohit Sharma would definitely open for Mumbai and Quinton de Kock should be his partner. The left-right combination would be crucial for Mumbai Team. Chris Lynn could play as a replacement for de Kock. In such case, Ishan Kishan would be the wicketkeeper in place of Proteas opener. The opening battle between de Kock and Lynn is something that would be exiting to watch through the season.

Rutherford is another prospect that would be exiting to watch out this season. The young 22 years old West Indies player could prove his worth for the Mumbai team. Meanwhile, fellow West Indies legend Kieron Pollard would like to carry his CPL form into the IPl as well. 33 year old is an experienced campaigner and he would like to prove once again in middle order.

Meanwhile Pandya brothers, Hardik and Krunal would be key in the lowe middle order for Mumbai. Nathan Coulter-Nile could also hit some hard blows if he plays in the team.
