RCB Team Preview: Captained By Indian Skipper Virat Kohli, this is 13th consecutive IPL season for Royal Challengers Banglore. Packed with star players like Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers this team is often referred to as ‘underachievers’.
For 2020 season, Simon Katich is appointed as a coach. They will be playing their first game against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 21 September. Will they finally break the deadlock and win this season’s trophy? We have to wait and watch.

RCB Team Preview: Analysis
The team has great combination of top order batsman as well as some quality spinners. The major concern for RCB team this season would be finishers. Although there are set of players who can to the job done, RCB would experiment a lot at start of the season to find their right combination.
RCB Team Preview: Bowling Preview:
Traditionally seen as a heavy batting team, RCB has not changed their core batting. Whereas in bowling, RCB has some quality spinners. Leggie Yuzvendra Chahal’s spell is going to to be crucial for the team.
Apart from Yuzi, Washington Sundar is another quality legspinner who can bat as well. Australian national player Adam Zampa is another magnificent addition in the team.
It would be interesting to see how RCB would find the right combination of spinners. Not only leggie, they have left arm orthodox spinner Pawan Negi and Moeen Ali’s off-break which would be crucial in UAE’s pitch.
Dale Steyn is arguably the major attraction of RCB team this season. The 37 years old pacer could deliver on his day despite his age. It would be interesting to see how RCB would manage his workload.
The Indian pacers are also of high pedigree with the likes of Umesh Yadav, Navdeep Saini and Mohammad Siraj. Chris Morris is another South African who would be crucial for RCB as he and Steyn could play interchangeably as a foreign pacer.
RCB Team Preview: Batting Preview:
Lead by Virat Kohli, Batting is major strength for RCB. Likes of AB de Villers, Aaron Finch are the names that could well deliver for RCB. Looking at their batting lineup, they would like to score 200+ score in almost every game they play for.
It would be interesting to see how RCB finds their right combination in batting. Most likely Parthiv Patel would open up with Virat Kohli. If Aaron Finch plays, Virat may bat at No.3.
AB, Moeen Ali and Indian allrounder Shivam Dube would control the middle order of the innings. Chris Morris, if he plays could hit the hard blows if he gets some chance of batting.
Overall, the only concern for RCB this season would be of finishing as there lack some good players in lower middle order who could finish off the game.
